The Huge Mistake Business Owners Make When Creating An Ad (Part 1)

Creating ads is not easy, because we have no idea what to do. We look around at the marketing around us to see how to make a good ad.

And what we find leads us to a trap.

She is pretty, there’s just nothing there.

Imagine you are on a date with a beautiful girl, she is perfect nothing wrong with her. Then while eating you start talking, and for four hours she only talks about star signs.

You try to steer the conversation in a different direction but she just keeps talking about starsigns. She does not know anything else.

Now you might have a successful date but. Are you going to have a relationship with this woman?

The answer is probably no. Because she has nothing going for her.

Ads are similar in this way.

When you are looking at ads, you see some very beautiful ads that make no sense.

Look at a car ad and you will see just how much effort they put in to make it look stunning. 

God forbid look at perfume ads and you will see how much budget went into making it look good.

So what is our only logical conclusion, I have to make my ads pretty.

So you spend all your time making a pretty ad, maybe you even hire a designer to make it look extra beautiful. In the end, you have a beautiful ad with nothing in it.

If you look at great ads, they are not visually stunning. They just have stellar copy.

Look at my website for examples, do you wonder why it is not filled with AI pictures and videos of money getting printed out of the sky?

To answer your question: 

If you are going to put something in your website or ad it has to have a damn good reason to be there, otherwise you are just distracting your prospect.

That is why I do not have a dot that follows your mouse when you move around the website and that is why I don’t have a moving background.

Copy is king 

When making an ad remember this: Copy first design second.

You can have a visually stunning ad but if the copy is bad no one will buy.

You can also have a butt ugly ad but if your copy is good people will buy.
